THIS INDENTURE made and entered into this 4th day of April, 1877 between Josiah DANIEL of the first part, and John J. SELF party of the second part, both of the county and state aforenamed.
That the said Josiah DANIEL, for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars [$500.00], to him in hand paid by the said John J. SELF, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and death by these presence grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said John J. SELF, part of lot of land number forty-six  and sixty-three  in the sixteenth district [16th] of the first section of said County, ____ as follows, to wit:
Commencing at the locus stake on the road south of Goodman CAIN's lot number 46, thence along said road near south of the branch near Josiah DANIEL's house, thence near an East course along the road leading to James S. HINSON, to the conditional corner on a white oak tree on Lot No. 63 near the corner of the fence on the left-hand of the road going
from said Josiah DANIEL's, then near a Northeast course folowing a marked conditional line to the top of the ridge to a white oak conditional corner between said DANIEL and W.J. HUNTER; thence along the conditional line between DANIEL and HUNTER near a North course to a locus stake on the original line of 63; thence along the original line of 63 to the original corner of 63 and 46; thence West to the beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD said bargained premises unto the said John J. SELF, his heirs, executors and administrators, to his and their only use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Josiah DANIEL for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, the right and title thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend against them- selves and all other persons whomsoever.
